«Mindre del trukket ut av noe større» (in english: smaller part withdrawn from something bigger) is an exhibition about picking things apart to get closer to it. What happens when you find something and pick it up, bring it with you in your pocket, and touch it with your fingers when you search for your keys. What does these fragments represent when put in order or unorder by short texts written while the distance between us in bed is too big, or something got stuck in the shower drain.
Karoline Sætre is a second year bachelor student at Trondheim Academy of Fine Arts. She mainly works in a mix of collage and installation. She often use short texts as a starting point for here work, sometime these texts even inflect the final visuals of the project. Right now she is interested in our traces and what they may contain, and communication and the lack of it.
