Oslo-based artist Inger Lise Hansen, originally from Trondheim, will give an artist talk and screening of some of her recent films. The screening forms part of the course City Symphonies and Essay Films, but is also an open lecture for all interested.

Inger Lise Hansen is Norway's most prominent experimental film maker. Her films have been screened at festivals all over the world and she has been awarded several prizes for her innovative work with stop-motion animation. Unlike most animators, she does not work in the studio, but rather, in the landscape. Her works over the past decade have been shot in a variety of different locations, and each of them presents us with a new perspective on the representation of landscape.

Her. most recent work Tåke (Fog) was completed in 2018 and received its premiere at Kunstnernes Hus Kino in Oslo.It has since been presented at several international film festivals and at The Louvre in Paris. The screening will feature this and several other of her more recent films.
