In Shades of Grey: Feminist fever in the archive of Nationalgalleriet

Pernille Zidore Nygaard will talk about her current research project, where she is working with the collected and uncollected women artists in Nasjonalgalleriet in the period of 1965-1985, as part of the larger project of The Feminist Legacy in Art Museums (2020-2025). She asks the question of how to enter the archive of a national collection through unfolding concrete empirical examples and conceptualizing the archive as both a place for enhancing the hegemonic system and for hopefully imagining otherwise.
