Bridges are Burning - Theatre for Democracy Workshop

As part of the artistic work, Soft Imperial Eyes, 2019, Katherine Butcher is hosting a venue collaboration event with NTNU's Building Democracy through Theatre Project to explore the creation of new communities of possibility. The workshop will be held at TKM Gråmølna within the exhibition Bridges Are Burning, NTNU’s Kunstakademiet Master of Fine Art gradution show open until 26. May 2019.
This special 3 hour interactive introduction to Playback Theatre will be facilitated by Kathy Barolsky and Audun Mollan Kristoffersen from the Building Democracy Through Theatre project.
The workshop is limited to 18 places. Instruction will be in both English and Norwegian.
A light vegan lunch and snacks will be provided free.
Kathy is the founder and former artistic director of Drama for Life Playback Theatre in Johannesburg, South Africa and a Drama and Movement Therapist. She holds a qualification in
Leadership from the Centre for Playback Theatre and is an accredited Playback Theatre Trainer. She is a PhD candidate as part of the Building Democracy Through Theatre project based at the drama and theatre section, NTNU.
Audun Mollan Kristoffersen
Audun has a Masters in Education, specialising in Drama, from from Trondheim University focusing on inclusion and aesthetics. Audun started with Playback theatre in 2001 and is currently the artistic director of Teater Momentum in Trondheim. Audun sits on the board for the Skandinavisk Playbackteater Studio. He graduated from the Centre for Playback Theatre in 2009. Audun works as a teacher at and is currently a PhD candidate at the Institutt for lærerutdanning.
