Amanda Steggel, professor in Choreography at KHiO, visits KiT for one days of studio visits/tutorials. Amanda is an innovator in Norwegian live art. In the nineties she led performance group Motherboard who pioneered the use of online-technology in multi-media events created together with artist/musician Per Platou. At an early stage she experimented with "virtual performance" using early streaming technology in collaboration with former KiT professor Michelle Teran. Her current work crosses boundaries between theatre/dance/installation/sculpture and digital media and she is in the final stages of a large artistic research project "Amphibious Trilogies". In earlier research projects she has explored themes including Synaesthesia and the visualisation of microwave radiation in public space. Amanda will be available for a limited number of studio visits.
